Amazon announced that the show will be released on September 2, 2022.

The series goes back to the Second Age of Middle-earth's history in Tolkien's books, thousands of years before the events depicted in The Lord of the Rings as well as The Hobbit.

In the featured period, a number of key events from The Lord of the Rings are played out, including Elrond's establishment of the refuge of Rivendell and the emergence of the Ringwraiths. The Rings of Power were also forged during the Second Age.

Ειναι η πιο ακριβη παραγωγη εβερ, αν και δε λεει και πολλα αυτο. Το θεμα ειναι πως κανεις μεταφορα το Silmarillion. Πως εισαγεις διαλογους και χαρακτηρες που δεν υπαρχουν στο πρωτοτυπο διατηρωντας την αισθητικη του Tolkien. Γενικα, πολυ μικρο καλαθι, οι πιθανοτητες να ειναι κακο ειναι παρα πολλες. Ελεγαν το Dune unadaptable, αυτο εδω και αν ειναι...

Elves are pale skinned. Most Elves have dark hair and grey or blue-grey eyes. The Vanyar, the least numerous of the three Kindreds of the Eldar, have blond hair and blue eyes. These traits occur in several characters who are part-Vanya, notably Galadriel, her brothers, and her father Finarfin; Idril Celebrindal and her son Eärendil; and (probably) Glorfindel. There's no in-universe explanation for where Thranduil, a Sinda, got his golden tresses. Presumably he has a distant Vanya ancestor. Reddish hair occurs rarely. Maedhros, Amrod, and Amras, sons of Fëanor, have red or red-brown hair that they inherited from their maternal grandfather Mahtan. Silver hair is also described as rare. It occurs mostly in one family, the royal house of the Teleri. Elu Thingol has silver-gray hair, and his brother Olwë has white hair. Other Elves with silver hair include Celeborn, Cirdan (a.k.a Nowë, a kinsman of Thingol), Ëarwen daughter of Olwë, and probably Celebrían. The only non-relative noted to have silver hair is Miriel mother of Feanor. Hair is a big deal to Elves. Tolkien notes that all the Eldar have beautiful hair, and that hair of exceptional loveliness is prized. Men as well as women, or at least some of them, wear their hair long; e.g., Celeborn's hair is "silver long and bright," Glorfindel's hair is long enough to flow "in the wind of his speed" when he rides his horse, and Fingon wears his hair in "great plaits" bound with gold.

Ο,τι βγαινει σε συμπαν Middle Earth ειναι θετικο. Μεγαλο εγχειρημα να αποτυπωθει μερος του Silmarillion. Εκ των πραγματων θα δωθει μεγαλη ελευθερια στο σεναριο, δεν περιμενω σε καμια περιπτωση να ακολουθησει πιστα το βιβλιο, δεν γινεται. Το μονο που μενει ειναι το feeling...δυσκολο...για να δουμε.
