The Next Band was formed by school friends Rocky Newton, Frank Noon and John Lockton in 1975 when they were all at the King’s School, Grantham, UK. Wildfire was the next step after "The Next Band" featuring: Rocky Newton, Frank Noon, John Lockton, Alan Nelson and Doug Martin.
All the demo songs (featuring wild dog) plus the 4song EP from the Next Band will be featured in the band’s anthology. This is a Monumental Release. DO NOT MISS IT

Rocky Newton and Frank Noon teamed up with Dennis Stratton and Jess Cox to form Lionheart it was the end of the road for Wildfire.
Rocky Newton went to play in MSG with Michael Schenker along with his Lionheart bandmate Steve Mann and also had stints with Chinatown, X-UFO, House of X and Airrace. He also recorded backing vocals on old friends Def Leppard’s benchmark albums Pyromania and Hysteria. He is currently an active member of both Lionheart and Grand Slam.

Frank Noon went on to play with Wild Horses, Stampede, Bernie Torme’s Electric Gypsies, Waysted with Pete Way from UFO, and Roadhouse featuring Pete Willis after he left Def Leppard

John Lockton played with German band Victory after Wild Horses
