PINK ROSE (FR) - Just What you Needed (Re issue 2023)

Όσο εμείς ΒΟΣΚΟΥΜΕ ΠΡΟΒΑΤΑ σε λόφους και λιβάδια, στον χώρο του μελωδικού ροκ γίνονται θαύματα. AORάδες που είστε;

Λοιπόν η Melodic Rock Classics από την Αυστραλία είναι μια ετικέτα στην οποία πρέπει να δείξουμε περισσότερη αγάπη εδώ μέσα. Μια ματιά στο κανάλι της στο youtube θα σας αφήσει με το στόμα ανοιχτό σε σχέση με τα ΚΟΣΜΗΜΑΤΑ που έχει / θα επανακυκλοφορήσει (δείγματα πολιτισμού όπως LEVEL, TOTAL STRANGER, FRICTION και άλλα).

Αναφέρομαι φυσικά στο καρά classic "Just What You Needed" των Γάλλων PINK ROSE, το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε το 1986.

Λοιπόν όπως θα διαβάσετε παρακάτω η MRC ΟΧΙ ΜΟΝΟ μας δίνει το original πρώτη φορά σε CD αλλά μιας προσφέρει και re-recording του υλικού!!!! Ακούστε το "Cheating Lady" και απλά λιποθυμήστε! Τι έγινε επικάδες; Δεν έχετε εσείς τέτοιες κομματάρες ε; Που να τις βρείτε κακομοίρηδες.

Στο μεταξύ η μπάντα έχει άμεση σχέση με το καλό Γαλλικό Metal -το οποίο έτσι και αλλιώς κοιτάει στα μάτια το Hard Rock σε πολλές περιπτώσεις- μιας και ουσιαστικά είναι η εξέλιξη των ATTENTAT ROCK.

When Attentat Rock went into the Studio Maunoir in Geneva in January 1986, their intention was to record the bands 4th album, which was going to be called "Pink Rose”.

A few months before, Herve Raynal, who was the bands main composer, left the band and was replaced by Stéphane Bonneau (Satan Jokers). After the first week of the recordings, Stephane decided to leave the band, which left the band as a quartet.

Instead of bringing in a new lead guitarist the band opted to add keyboards to the songs (played by Thierry Fervant, owner of Studio Maunoir). This - and the fact that the new compositions were different to what had been the style of Attentat Rock – caused the band to decide to take a completely different path, changing their name to Pink Rose.
The band was never happy with the production, which they felt didn't give justice to the songs and after a few months after the release of the album they split up. Until now.

Στο μεταξύ αυτή η χροιά, αυτό το πάθος, ΑΥΤΗ Η ΦΩΝΑΡΑ -ναι για τον Marc Quee λέω- που ακούω στο re-recording του "Cheating Lady" είναι ΚΑΛΥΤΕΡΗ από το original. Και γενικά το recording τολμώ να πω ότι μου μιλάει καλύτερα από το αυθεντικό -για το συγκεκριμένο κομμάτι λέω, δεν έχω ακούσει ακόμα ολόκληρο το υλικό re recorded-. Σε σχέση με το original, το re-recorded είναι πολύ πιο κιθαριστικό!

MelodicRock Classics has something a little different for fans come September 29.

The label is not only delivering a 1986 cult classic hard rock album on CD for the first time ever, but also delivering a brand-new re-recording of the same album, all in the one package.

The band is French rockers PINK ROSE, the album is ‘Just What You Needed’. Originally released on LP back in 1986, the album features Marc Quee on vocals; Fabrice Fourgeaud on guitar; Thierry Gaulme on drums; and Pierre Bremond on bass.

Formed out of the ashes of Attentat Rock, PINK ROSE only recorded the one album, but following an Attentat Rock reunion in 2009, the 4 members of Pink Rose started talks about re-recording the album. Now almost 15 years later (37 since the release of Just What You Needed), the new cathartic recording is completed and is aptly titled Just What We Needed.
‘Just What We Needed’ will be Disc 1 of a 2-Disc set, with the original remastered album Just What You Needed being the second disc.

Τέλος να σημειώσω πως και το original PINK ROSE τα σπάει. Μελωδικό Hard Rock με τα όλα του στo πνεύμα της πεοχής και ας έχει κάπως ιδιαίτερη παραγωγή -για αυτό μας αρέσει άλλωστε-. Επίσης το LP είναι στην Virgin οπότε δεν είναι δύσκολο να βρεθεί. Ενώ για την ιστορία να πούμε πως η Virgin έβγαλε και ένα promo 7" με τα κομμάτια "Just What You Needed" και "Lonely in the Street".

Συγνώμη επικάδες κοιτάζω τις τωρινές σας κυκλοφορίες και βλέπω ότι οι άμπαλοι τραγουδιστές σας ούτε τις δεύτερες του ΣΗΜΕΡΙΝΟΥ Quee δεν μπορούν να πιάσουν.

Καλώ: @aorpanos72, @Grin και όποιον άλλον θέλει να ακούσει μια κομματάρα όπως το re recording του "Cheating Lady".

Συγνωμη δεν ηξερα οτι οι "Le flore" ειχαν ασχοληθει με το ειδος.... Ωραιο κομματι εχει αρκετο nwobhm (λιγο περισσοτερο απο οσο " πρεπει" ) . Θέλω να ακούσω και την πρώτη εκτέλεση..

Υγ άκουσα την πρώτη έκδοσή. Η επανηχογραφηση είναι καλύτερή...πρέπει η αυθεντική να ηχογραφήθηκε απο κάποιον που έκανε ποπ ηχογραφήσεις...γιατι οι κιθάρες είναι θαμμένες στο original.

Ακόμη ένα ξεχασμένο διαμαντάκι είναι έτοιμη να ανασύρει και να φέρει στην επιφάνεια η Melodic Rock Classics. Θα συμφωνήσω πως δεν πρόκειται για "2-die-4" υλικό, όμως η επανηχογράφηση το κάνει να ακούγεται δυναμικό και αναζωογονημένο.
