ON THE LOOSE: Epic Doom Metal από Πορτογαλία
Οι Πορτογάλοι έχουν αποδείξει πως το πονάνε το άθλημα και μας έχουν χαρίσει δισκάρες που αγαπήθηκαν αρκετά ανά τα χρόνια. Είτε μιλάμε για το βαρβαρικό ατσάλι των IRONSWORD, το οπαδικό επικό συμπόσιο των RAVENSIRE ή την πιο σκοτεινή κ μελιστάλαχτη προσέγγιση των MOONSPELL και των AVA INFERI, πάντα υπήρχε καλό υλικό για να «πιαστούμε» κ να γουστάρουμε.
Οι ON THE LOOSE, λοιπόν, είναι μια μπάντα / προτζεκτ (;) -ακόμα δεν έχω βρει αρκετές πληροφορίες- που απαρτίζεται από γνώριμα μέλη της Πορτογαλικής σκηνής και βαδίζει στα μοναχικά μονοπάτια του epic doom. Πριν από λίγες ημέρες κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο δείγμα της δουλειάς τους, το "Midnight", ένα έπος 6:30 λεπτών που παραμένει πιστό στις διδαχές των πρωτοπόρων του είδους χωρίς να ακούγεται τετριμένο, θυμίζοντας μας παράλληλα αυτό που μας έκανε να σκαλώσουμε με το συγκεκριμένο ιδίωμα από την αρχή: την απλότητα, την μεγαλοπρέπεια και την εσωστρέφια στην σύνθεση. Νομίζω πως δεν έχει νόημα να μπω σε λεπτομέρειες μιας και πρόκειται για ένα μόνο κομμάτι, αλλά θα ήθελα να επισημάνω την δουλειά που έχει γίνει στις κιθάρες και το πως αυτές ντύνουν το κομμάτι, καθώς επίσης κ στα φωνητικά που θα τα χαρακτήριζα ως ένα κράμα DAWN OF WINTER / DOOMSWORD (ντεμπούτο).
Μακάρι να υπάρχει και άλλο υλικό που να κινείται σε αυτά τα επίπεδα...

Εξαιρετικό υλικό. Παρακολουθώ καιρό την εξέλιξη του κομματιού μιας και είμαι σε επαφή με ένα από τα μέλη, μάλιστα έχουν ποσταριστεί και κάποια demos στην ομάδα του FS στο facebook. Πολύ καλό το τελικό αποτέλεσμα.

Πιο Ντικινσον απο τον Ντικινσον. Πολυ ωραιο το κομμάτι, αν και το "κουβαλαει" κυριως η φωνη κι οχι η μουσικη.
Εραστής του έντεχνου μεταλλικού ήχου.

@CountRaven δεν ήθελα να το πω αλλά με αναγκάζεις, μια κλανιά του Adams και μια έστω και λάθος νότα από το μπάσο του Demaio εξαϋλώνουν 20 Prequelle στην καθισιά τους.

Hi folks,
This is The devil on The Loose, firstly sorry for not be able to write in greek, secondly, many thnxs for starting this forum about ON THE LOOSE.
I´ll tell you a small story about it, With the pandemic no music was allowed on stages so after some personal decisions I had time to do MY album, I also play in Extreme Uction, Els Focs Negres and Perpetrator by the way, also played with heavy metal maniacs SABATAN and satanicspedd metalers OMISSION from spain. I wanted to do an instrumental album with an orquestra, all the music that you will listen was supposed to be instrumental, but after some months waiting for the orquestrations, from 3 different guys I decided to ask my buddy Lino who also sings in a tribute Iron Maiden band Iron Beast and also with the uk based band AIRFORCE to sing in the album.
My first gig was iron maiden and Wasp back in 86 so i´m a huge fan of maiden and wasp.
I know that comparisons are obvious but I just don´t give a shit.
The MIDNIGHT track might be the most similar to Maiden, all the others expect for Candlemass, Black sabbath...
We are still in production mode the album will be released on march 20 2022 the next equinox with or without a label. Because I want that date and that´s it, this was a one man project and it still is, but if there is help from the public this might be a live band.About the guitars work mentioned above, yes it´s was a pain...some songs have like 4 guitar layers, some demonic solos and others like Midnight with what the song asks.
I invited João Ventura from THE LIMIT/Dawnrider to play the drums and asked my friend Rick Thor to write some wonderfull lyrics, all the artwork photos taken by me...well this is my baby...the third one hahahahaha
Well this is it, hope you liked Midnight, spead it to someone that you think will like it and that´s it, 80´s spirit pass the word and enjoy.
For Maiden maniacs give it one chance as everyone is giving 3 for their last album.
Once againg a very humble thank you for listening to this first track.
