Το ντεμπούτο λοιπόν των θεών Majestic Ryte, θα σκάσει μύτη από Sonic Age / Cult Metal Classics.

Οι έγκυρες πληροφορίες που έχω λένε ότι το Φλεβάρη θα βγει η CD έκδοση ενώ Μάρτη με Απρίλη το LP.

Μέσα στη μέρα θα έχουμε και πρώτο κομμάτι δείγμα.

It took nearly 35 years for this amazing epic metal band from New York to release their long-awaited first full length album. Originally back in 1988 they had released one of the most sought after demo tapes, a now considered to be classic cassette-only, same-titled EP.

Fast forward to 2021. The band finishes the recordings of their debut album with the same line-up that released their old EP. All 10 songs are in the same style to the EP, an amazing blend of U.S. epic metal with FATES WARNING "Awaken the Guardian" touches, coupled with the distinctive imposing vocals of Greg Tsaknakis, the razor sharp riffs of Nick Trotti and the pounding rhythm section of Tom Sauer (drums) and John Funk (bass).

"Hadrian's Path" is a song taken from this album which will be released both on vinyl and CD, featuring original fantasy artwork, lyrics and photos. The sound was mastered by Nasos Nomilos at VU Productions, so expect one of the best releases of 2023.

Unfortunately, on the 6th of February 2022, John Funk unexpectedly passed away, so this album is dedicated to his memory and music legacy. We shall always be grateful for his amazing music and feel privileged to have met him once, during the band's appearance in UP THE HAMMERS festival back in 2019.

Αααααχ φίλε μου @TitusGroan θυμάμαι ήταν άνοιξη όταν έφτασε στα χέρια μου η κόπια του EP και τελικά ήρθε και δεν άνοιξα ούτε το πακέτο, το ακούμπησα πάνω σε κάτι box sets και ακόμα εκεί βόσκει. Ο ορισμός του still sealed.

Καυτό τεχνικό ατσάλι από CMC την Άνοιξη του '23. Και Majestic Ryte και Cauldron Born.... άντε να τελειώνει ο Χειμώνας....

Είχανε παίξει κι άλλα καινούργια στο UTH και ήταν υπερτούμπανα! Κάτι μου λέει ο τίτλος guardian.
Προβλέπω ότι θα έχουμε μεγάλες συγκινήσεις!

Τι λέει; Το τσίμπησα χθές, αλλά δεν το έχω ακούσει ακόμα.

Το έχω ακούσει κάμποσες φορές και δε με έχει κερδίσει ακόμα. Τεχνικό, με αρκετά δυνατά σημεία, αλλά και άλλα που μου δίνουν την αίσθηση πως δε δένουν. Δεν έχω κατασταλάξει ακόμα αλλά νομίζω πως είναι από τους δίσκους που θα εκτιμήσω μετά από πολλές ακροάσεις. Πάντως σίγουρα μετρά και αξίζει να επενδύσει κανείς το χρονο του...

Με ενδιαφέρει να διαβάσω και απόψεις άλλων για το συγκεκριμένο άλμπουμ.

Είναι δύσκολο αλμπουμ, θέλει πολλές ακροάσεις για να δώσει.

Καποια κομματια μου αρεσαν πολυ, καποια κομματια σχεδον καθολου. Δεν μου αρεσε που αρκετα ριφφ ειναι καπως "ξερά" και "μοντερνα" με εμφαση στα powerchords και μαλιστα καποια κομματια ειναι κυριως ετσι παρα "αλλιως". Χαρακτηριστικο παραδειγμα το εναρκτηριο τρακ.

Υπηρχαν και κομματια που μου αρεσαν πολυ, πχ το guardian και το hadrian, αλλά σε γενικες γραμμές μου αφηνει μια επιγευση χαμενου potential και ανισου δισκου.
